How to order in order to DIY ur pancakes.. Choose pancake batter ($10 per bottle) and Select sweet topping (50cents per small tub).. Savoury fixings is like cooked food while waiting for ur pancake to cook..
We ordered Pandan and Velvet flavour for our mixture.. pls dun order too much, unless u wan to have more colours for deco.. is bit hard to finish the whole bottle.. we ended up juz finish half for each bottle.. rainbow sprinkles and cheese for toppings for deco... Next will be Dinner of the day!
another atas area which i nvr been b4 again.. along Scotts Rd, with those big bungalows as restaurants..
Went for Fine Dining @ Buona Terra.. This place was quite flexible in ordering.. as there's seasonal menu.. and dinner set menu with fixed price.. based on which set menu u ordered, u can choose which courses u wan.. means u can hv 3 x main courses of the same price! isnt it wonderful? allows us to try more things instead.. so we ordered one (Spring) seasonal menu.. Luna (Moon) dinner set menu of 4 courses.. Menu has 4 categories: appetizers, pasta, meat, dessert.. we decided to go for all, but no dessert, 1 more meat instead! appetizers, pasta, meat and meat! yums!
Menus: http://scotts29.com/buonaterra/menu.html
Bread and Sauces
Seasonal Menu
1) Amuse Bouche - Mini Crème brûlée.. size of teaspoon
2) Oven Baked Red Prawns Wrapped in Kataifi Paste, Dried Tomato Sauce, Burrata and Eggplant
Prawn is fresh.. and must mix with the sauce when eating
3) Marinated Trout with Citrus, Yogurt
Trout tasted like salmon.. but the texture quite solid compared to salmon..
4) Potato Cream with Sea Urchin, Oscietra Caviar, and Capers Powder
Sea urchin!! finally eats the real taste of it.. (hope is this taste).. this is nice!! the potato cream is juz nice for sea urchin, to cover the taste if feel its taste too strong..
5) Tagliatelle with Bamboo Clams and Bottarga
So-So only.. nt suitable for my and his taste
6) Duck Breast with Glazed Pearl Onion, Potato Cream and Cherry Sauce
7) Yellow Peach in Dual Textures with “Armelline” Almond
indeed unique.. tasted like apple pie..
Luna (Moon menu) with 4 courses
1) Appetizer: Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with Pear and “Red Cow” Parmesan Cheese
2) Pasta: Taleggio Cheese Casoncelli with Seasonal Black Truffle
With cheese inside while is still warm.. v nice and unique pasta.. with
3) Meal: Charcoal Grilled Iberico Pork Jaw with Potato Rosti, Braised Endive and Apple Sauce
the pork jaw is v tender.. and juz looks like medium beef~
Look at the pork jaw texture!
4) Meat: Veal Tenderloin with Asparagus and Aromatic Herbs Zabajon
tenderloin~ a must to order! the 2 ingredients on top is white asparagus! soft texture unlike the green type..
is quite tall...
ooo.. look at the medium level of it!
Complimentary tea..
Complimentary desserts..
how many dishes did we actually taste?
7 dishes from Season menu ($148) $22 per dish
4 dishes from Moon menu ($108) $27 per dish
the cost per dish, quite reasonable? one dish ard $25 for this fine dining standard and ambience and occasion.. worthy!
the way they serve the food is considerable.. pasta with pasta.. and meat with meat.. as we are sharing.. and end of every dish will have our plates cleared~
Total damage: 300+ with FULLY occupied stomach!
but again, we missed the complimentary sparkling water! as always tot tt needs to be paid! hahaha...
anyway, the place is quite small.. so do make reservations~
Thanks for the dinner! :D
