Batam Trip [15-16 Dec 07]

hmm..this trip was quite sudden outing.. was organised by RC..and was 2D1N trip..so shld be okie..at least i no need to tk any leave..haha..cos i dun hv anymore leaves liao~.. all give to China le.. haa..$100 for everything except food tat we bought of cos.. included buffet brkfast, seafood lunch and dinner.. and best is..gt transport to and fro at juz my blk downstairs..is v convenient lor..no need tk cab..hee..

early morn at ard 645, went down and wait for gathering..den board bus to harbourfront.. 14 of us..but nt bad le..and 1st tm went there also..haha..quite a lot of pple sia..reached and waiting for time to enter..and inside the ferry liao..took Penguin Ferry..heng the wave was nt tat strong..was kinda scared of the strong waves..dun like the feeling ba..

batam was 1 hr earlier than sg..reached Sekupang ard 930am SG time, 830am Indo time..went money changer to get some indo dollars..waa, we will be millionaires for 2 days lor..haa..cos in Indo, SGD$1 = 6,300 rupiahs!! terrible lor..haha..the rate is so high, til u see the price also scary..and hard to convert also..haha..anyway, early reach there also need to wait for others to arrive..cos still gt others coming..and means have to wait for ard 1 hr!!.. wah lao..damn sian lor.. hate waitg lor..and the seats r nt tat comfy at all..plus tired..zzz all the way..sian..finally.. 11+ set off le..

today will be 1 day tour..will be kinda rush lor..1st stop..go watch Barelang Filsabillah Bridges (the first bridge connecting Batam to Tonton Island).. the bridge was kinda nice..and when u alighted the bus, will hv many pple selling fried prawns, fried crabs..really smell nice..but dun really dare to eat..haa..there are many small islands on batam..and saw one small island..and indeed small~




Next, we went praying at one of the temples, Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya, also known as the Laughing Buddha temple.. is one of the largest Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia..


finally lunch!..damn hungry..but b4 tat, went buy many crackers..waa..a lot..den go Golden Prawn 933 for seafood lunch.. 6 dishes 1 soup.. wanna drink coconut drink, but hv to wait for more than 1 hr..too bad..and wana go massage also, but fully booked..haiz..well, lunch was nt tat nice..thou gt 'gong gong', fried prawns, bittergourd soup, sweet sour fried fish, crabs, veg curry..


after tat, go nearby and watch 10min Kudalumping Show..see pple eat charcoal in fire, eat glass, use teeth and peel coconut skin..


Next, shopping for dried food..also lots of crackers..but this round, only mum bought..those sea cucumber, dried scallops..nth much..found out tat the housing are ard the same patterns one..hee..Nxt, we went shopping at Polo Ralph..nth to buy..v ex..hmm..rem tat tm when Indo for my education trip, i bought one shirt sia..haha..forgot hw much le..hmm~..Next, went pray again..at Tua Pek Kong Temple..den went nearby and eat some kueh..nt bad..and saw one mini cat..really mini sia..



Next is the most boring session liao..shopping!! ya..might sound interesting, but totally boring!!..and gonna spend 1.5 hrs there somemore leh..haiz..went to duno wat shopping mall.. only noe gt JC Supermarket..went few rounds, but dun really suit us..left 1 hr..no choice, went shop at supermarket, else everyone will juz fall aslp..damn tired also lor..haiz..waa..the food there was like CHEAP!.. and dad finally found his avocado..haa..he bought 8 big ones..and only ard SGD$3++.. yeah..gt avocado drinks le..hee..and saw my mee goreng!!..damn cheap!!..was ard 20cents per packet also..and too ks until bought 10 of them..haa.. crazy..but really cheap.is like everything was less than 70cents, where cost more than 1buck in sg..hee..shopping in supermarket indeed can pass time lor..left ard 45mins..so went sit down and had avocado drink..nt bad..

Dinner time~.. seafood dinner..tis time at Golden Prawn 555..nt 933 le..hee..but tis time round,food is nicer and gt coconut to drink~.. and ate lots of prawns, was really fresh and heng din mk my mouth itchy..gt fried omelette, fresh steamed prawns, fried calamari, pepper crabs, veg soup, fried fish, kangkong..and many live prawns, crabs, fish, crayfish, even small sharks for pple to catch and eat..


nw waitg to go GoodWay Hotel and rest..was really tired..haiz..restless..finally~ but ended up our room and parents room was far~.. not enuff rooms le..but we gt the corner room~ and was real big lor.. their single bed is like queen bed like tat.. too big enuff for a person like me..haa..


had a good nite slp of cos.. wakie had our buffet brkfast..nt tat nice..sian..haha..and wsting our time in the whole morning..cos they earliest start open shop at ard 10am, which is 11am in SGT..haiz..and nt really sure wats nearby lor..and was startin to rain and HOT again..overall weather is good! but managed to walk to one area with shops.. and supermarket again..and bought mee goreng again.wahaha..total 15 packets!.. terrible hor? hee.. again wait and wait til 130pm, finally set off to Batam Centre for ferry back hm to sg~.. heng no need to wait tat long..tking 3pm ferry..journey back was kinda longer..and waves are bit strong..heng i feel okie..phew.. listening to my jay songs loudly..

tada~.. home at ard 5plus.. tired..and took a pic of wat we have bought in batam!.. horrible..tats a lot! wahaha..think is less than $100 lor.. gt less than $50 mah? hahaa..lalala~

and worse still.. one Big packet of fish crackers was finished within less than 6 hrs in ofc!!. well done my team..wahaha..
