Due to my operation on my index finger 3 mths ago, I was 'banned' from sashimi for ard 1 mth.. and too bad, he had to 'ban' with me also.. and somemore one mth ago, he asked me when i was able to eat sashimi.. cos he wanan wack sashimi liao.. thou b4 this qn, i already decided to treat him Japanese buffet~.. sashimi until he wack till full full....
Came across Kushi Japanese Dining Bar @ Hotel Royal, walkable distance from Novena MRT.. comes with 3 types of buffet.. Classic / Premium (with 1 seasonal item) / Gourmet (with 2 seasonal items).. the seasonal item can only be known on that day.. Do make reservation..
Note that the buffet includes shabu shabu also.. but hw can one pax ate so much.. zzz.. but if u do, really will worth the price..
reached there ard 6pm.. we were the only customers till 645pm~ phew.. but the service was v gd.. they will recommend what was their specialities... and once u start to read the menu, they will auto come to u and get order from u..
Decided on Premium buffet, just look at the menu.. u will feel lost, too many items for u to eat..
Fresh Oysters! but not attached to the shell, so..
Fresh sashimi~ Big range of sashimi, i can say tat!! ordered Amaebi, Salmon, Hamachi, Swordfish, Scallops, Aji...

Turban Shell sashimi! cos of the shape of its shell, thus was called turban shell..
the meat is interesting.. we tot it will taste like chewy, like clams or top shell texture.. BUT.. wrong!! it was very crunchy that u nvr expect it to be.. interesting food..
and 2 pieces of Tuna belly.. only limited one plate per person! hw can me missed it! the sashimi was bit frozen when served.. but tasted fatty when 'defrost'..
Lobster soup.. served as a bit bowl.. dun attempt to order one per pax, if u just wanna try.. ard 2 lobster meats inside.. quite nice, but the soup nt much of lobster taste, more towards miso..
Last round of sashimi! Amaebi, Swordfish, Hamachi, Scallop..
and one more 'no-pic' food.. chawanmushi.. is real gd.. MELT in my mouth..
this will be my second best chawanmushi that will melt~ yums!
