Bangkok 2012 - Day 3 (Grand Palace, Wat Phon, Chinatown)

is a v hot day today.. had cup noodles for brkfast.. will have Temple trip in this morn.. planned to take boat to Grand Palace but instead took cab and thanks for the osmand+ app in android.. really in gd use.. Grand Palace opens at 830.. 450baht.. but already v packed wif tourists.. Proper attire is a must in Grand Palace to show respect to the buddha.. hot n windless.. spend ard 3hrs in here.. 

Den walk to Wat Pho for Reclining Buddha.. 100 baht for foreigners..Walk opposite under shade with roadside sellers along e stretch frm Grand Palace to Wat Pho.. most of them sell amulet..  Impressive Sleeping buddha status.. 

After Wat Pho, took cab to MBK for food~ 150baht.. too hungry le.. finally had proper MK steamboat meal.. the roasted duck indeed nice n tender.. 

din really eat full, me and bf had another small meal at Mac (2-pc meal 109baht, portion juz like KFC's) before zoom to Crown Tailer for fitting while sis n fren cont her shopping at MBK.. MBK too big liao, din realy spend time in here..wait for nxt trip ba.. mayb this trip is juz to chk out shopping mall.. lol..

took cab to Platinum Fashion Mall.. Platinum has 1-3 zones.. Standalone building at the corner is zone 3 which is the newer.. mostly sellg shoes while zone 1-2 selling many other things except shoes.. food court is there too.. indeed v big, need one day to walk whole building, juz dun get lost inside.. Back to hotel to put stuff..den 200baht cab to Yaorowat Chinatown for dinner.. went straight to T&K seafood.. so crowded..and realise BKK traffic keep jamming.. wats wrong? ordered omelette wif crab meat, prawn wif glass noodles, morning glory aka kang kong and shark fin soup.. too hot liao, sweating while eating.. 

went to Lin Zhen Xiang (pig logo) for food sournveir.. still cant find e ikan bilis tomyam packet which my cousin bgt..sian. i found one in LZX, but nt shiok enuff.. of cos, cant leave Chinatown without having birdnest at Namsing! aircon-ed and 200b for birdnest class 4.. wif longan, gingko nuts and red dates as side dish.. v nice.. a must to eat! 

took cab bk and is in meters.. finally gt cab willingly to on their meter..maybe most cabs we took are frm hotel ba? Din get to eat their kuey chup at Chinatown.. next time
